We got into groups to make practice 'how to' videos setting up a camera and tripod for recording, we split it into 5 steps and recorded the other group completing the different steps and after that we recorded a voiceover for each of the steps to add to the video. While editing I sped up some of the clips so that they would fit the voiceover better and also cut up some parts of the voiceover and the video to make the final product better. I also added in some background music so during the short gaps of silence when people are completing the steps it isn't silent.
The main focus of the lesson was storyboards and the different website that we can use to make them online, the first one was called theplot.io which was good as it gave you space for a description of what happens in the scene and as well as space for a script so you can put things like dialogue there too. The next one we looked at was storyboardthat and we were tasked with making a storyboard of an alien arriving at post apocalyptic earth and deciding it was bad and then leaving, this one was good as it gives you a lot of different resources that are part of the website. The last way was hand drawn which is good cause you can do whatever you want to on that, although you are a bit limited by how well you can draw.
